Hunger Action Month

Each September, communities across the country come together to take action against hunger - a crisis that touches nearly 25,000 households right here in Beaufort and Jasper Counties.

So far this year, Self Help has distributed more than 436,000 pounds of food to the 900 families who rely on The Market each month. That's 20% more food and 22% more households served than this time last year, with more than 400 new families turning to us for support.
